This Limited-Edition Grasshopper 2 release features a black moulded plastic body that only needs stickers to be applied!

The Grasshopper II is one of Tamiya's iconic radio control car kits from the late 1980's. It was an enhanced follow up release to the original Grasshopper kit. The kit features a number of updates while keeping largely faithful to the original model. Its streamlined construction process makes this kit perfect for less experienced users and R/C veterans alike, while separately sold option parts can be used to enhance the model.

The rear-wheel drive chassis is a bathtub type made of ABS resin that can withstand hard off-road driving. The suspension arms are made of durable and flexible nylon resin, and the gearbox is made of lightweight and strong polycarbonate. The suspension consists of an independent swing axle with coil springs at the front, and a rolling rigid axle with coil springs at the rear. The gearbox, which is integrated with the rear axle case, is a sealed type that shuts out the sand and pebbles that accompany off-road driving. It also has a built-in differential gear that produces smooth cornering. The front and rear wheels are lightweight one-piece type. The front wheels are grooved tires with 4 ribs for excellent directionality, and the rear wheels are equipped with spike tires that demonstrate sufficient grip.
