The revolutionary 1984 2WD off-road buggy is back and more fun than ever before! The Hornet stands as one of Tamiya's most popular R/C cars ever released, helping launch a 2WD R/C buggy boom worldwide. Featuring excellent performance on both dirt and on-road tracks, this awesome buggy can take on any type of terrain. Just like the original, this re-release features an easy to assemble chassis and drivetrain consisting of a durable but lightweight ABS resin bathtub frame, diff gear loaded sealed gearbox, oil filled rear dampers, powerful RS 540 motor and high performance suspension system. The Hornet is perfect for those that used to have one, those that have always wanted one, and for those that want a revolutionary buggy that has earned its place in R/C history. 

Basic Specifications

This is an electric radio-controlled buggy assembly kit that takes advantage of its nimble footwork and can be driven anywhere from on-road to off-road.
Total length 400mm, total height 150mm, total width 230mm, vehicle weight 874g.
Engineering plastics are used extensively for the bathtub type frame, suspension arm, gear box, etc. to achieve a lightweight and strong body structure.
The front suspension has coils. Independent swing axle with spring, rear rolling rigid axle equipped with oil damper unit with high shock absorption.
Equipped with a sealed gearbox that shuts out sand and pebbles that are common in off-road driving. Produces smooth cornering. It also has a built-in differential gear.
The front and rear wheels are a 3-piece assembly type that gives you a sense of reality. The front wheel is equipped with a grooved tire with excellent directionality, and the rear wheel is equipped with a high-grip spike tire.
The body is made of polycarbonate that is lightweight and resistant to shocks.

International Customer Posting for Kits:
We are able, if required to split down kits into more affordable posting parcels.
Tracked delivery will be required to be paid on EACH parcel but this could result in a postage cost of between £16 - £24 for most kits, instead of the courier prices.
