A stylish pickup that was popular in the United States in the 1970s

Subaru's Brat pickup truck was very popular in the United States in the late 1970s because of its stylish form. As it was an export-only vehicle, it was rarely seen in Japan. There were very few of them, and many fans must have learned of its existence through the RC car. The RC car debuted in 1983 and became as popular as the real car. The Subaru Brat, which had the same basic configuration but updated each part, was born. Introducing a reprint version. Of course, the body is made of realistic styrene resin using a precision mould. If you paint it with the driver doll in plastic colour, the stylish body will be even more attractive. In addition, it can be used for driving purposes. A lightweight polycarbonate clear body is also included.

Unique rear wheel drive chassis with space frame

Including the distinctive space frame, inboard spring type front double wish equipped with a radius arm. The 4-wheel independent suspension with bones and rear trailing arm remains the same. At the time of release, the rear suspension only had a coil spring, but it has been updated to the diaphragm type oil damper coil spring unit that is now mainstream. In addition, the 540 motor is used. Equipped with a closed gearbox with a built-in differential gear. The rear drive shaft is a dog bone type joint that enables reliable drive power transmission. In addition, the 8-spoke design that was available as an option on the actual vehicle has been changed. The realistically reproduced wheels are a 3-piece type with a three-dimensional feel. The front and rear tires also have the same hollow block pattern as at the time.
