Tamiya VQS (2020) Assembly Kit, Kit No. 58686
The Vanquish is a legendary buggy from our R/C back catalogue, originally released in 1988, It’s now available again in the form of a re-issue assembly kit renamed the VQS. The kit receives tweaks to the original to bring it into the modern age of R/C fun! We have also saved builders some work too, with a pre-cut and pre-painted body!
Shaft drive 4WD with 3 differentials, equipped with 4 independent suspensions:
The frame adopts a lightweight and strong ABS resin monocoque. It is highly maintainable, protects the RC mechanism from shocks, and has a structure that can maximize the performance of the suspension. The drive system of the shaft drive 4WD is a 3-differential configuration with a small planetary type differential in the front and rear gearboxes and a ball differential in the centre. Demonstrates sharp turning performance. In addition, inspection hatches are installed on the front and rear gearboxes, making it easy to replace gears. Furthermore, in addition to reliable and smooth power transmission, it is also a feature of the reprinted version that it uses universal drive shafts on the front and rear to increase the reliability of driving without worrying about falling off while driving. Suspension is a 4-wheel independent double wishbone that inherits the geometry of the Avante. The front and rear lower arms are made of resin, and the camber angle can be adjusted using a screw shaft for the upper arms. In addition, the front upright is equipped with machined aluminium parts and stabilizers on the front and back.

Body stickers are based upon those in the original release, and just require application to complete the body.

New Parts: Aluminium front uprights and efficient universal shafts are designs inherited from the 2011 re-issue of the Avante (Item 58489).

Includes Tamiya THW-1060 ESC and *Motor.
Requires 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with compatible charger and Tamiya PS paint to complete.
